The aims of the geography syllabus are:
- To appreciate a sense of place with an understanding
of local, regional, national and global scale.
- To acquire an awareness of the characteristics,
distribution and processes of a selection of contrasting
human and physical environments
- To analyse and interpret the spatial effects of
the ways in which people interact with differing environments
and situations
- To form an understanding of different communities
and cultures throughout the world with an awareness
of contrasting opportunities and constraints presented
by different environments.
