International Day took place on Tuesday 26th January. On this occasion, our students were given the opportunity to think about cultural differences and looked at many traditional costumes.
During the first part of the day, some English classes worked on poems, comparing Qatar with other countries, while other groups completed a challenging quiz. In Maths, they learnt how to solve Egyptian, Russian and Chinese multiplications. In their French class, students were paired and given the chance to teach their native language to other students.
Some Year 10 classes completed an element quiz while another group had a discussion about traditional costumes.
These were a few of the activities that took place before all the students gathered to watch a show put up by Mr. Al-Bayati, Ms. Barghouti, Ms. Kaddoura and Ms. Al-Bayati. Both the performers and the audience had a great time; we were treating to singing, dancing and a fantastic fashion show, all introduced by Samaya (Year 12).
Finally, the day ended with a delicious buffet to which all the students contributes. It was a great day for all and the money raised will go to the Charity Committee.
Thank you to all the students and staff who supported this great day!
