As purple was Mrs. Wests favourite colour, Purple Day was held in Early Years and Primary in her memory, a magnificent QR 9,322/- has so far been raised by Early Years and Primary. We now have to decide on the best way forward for our memorial garden for Mrs West.
It was a day to remember for Q.I.S. on Wednesday 10th March as the year 3 and 4 boys football team competed against 13 other schools and returned from Dukhan with winners’ medals and a trophy.
QIS was alive with the sound of music on the 3rd February. Well done to the boys and girls who practised so hard and sang so beautifully. It was a terrific show, many thanks to Miss Hoyles and Mrs Fragu for all their help to make it a success.
The Dracula Rock Show
The students in Years 1 & 2 had a great time during their annual Sports Day. The weather couldn’t have been better and the determination was evident on all the little faces.
Hairy Maclary, Slinky Malinki, Scarface Claw and The Gruffalo were among some of the characters who were brought to life during the recent book week in Years 1 and 2.
Year 3 have been studying about the Romans and Celts this term. To finish off the work that they had been doing, the children and the staff had a day of dressing up and fun activities.
