The children have explored the school surroundings looking for plants. A highlight of the topic has been the Aspire park visit when our attention was moved away from the immediate locality of the school to the wider environment. The children also had a wonderful time in the Aspire zone where the message that being happy, healthy and fit is fun.

Reception classes have been busy looking out our natural environment focussing on the weather and plant growth. They have learned about the importance of nurturing the plants they have sown through regular care, attention and watering. We have seen how the weather impacts upon our lifestyles and environment.
