QIS is an English-speaking independent day school located in Doha, capital city of the State of Qatar. The school follows the National Curriculum of England (commonly referred to as the 'British National Curriculum') for students ranging between 3 and 18 years of age.

All students sit examinations at the end of each term, based on the UK's SAT tests. Examination results are sent home to parents, who are then invited to attend a parents evening to discuss their child's progress. Parents receive a progress report on their child at the end of Terms 1 and 2. A full school report, which includes detailed comments on each subject, is prepared at the end of each academic year.
