QIS is an International School that follows the British curriculum.  It operates all stages starting from Early Years until Year 13.

The school is currently full. Your child’s name will be on the waiting list until a place becomes available. We highly recommend that you apply for other schools.

All nationalities are welcome to apply. However, our priorities are as follow;

  • Students with current siblings in the school.
  • Students with excellent English background.
  • Students with outstanding previous school reports.

An initial application free of charge process called “pre-application” will be available on our website on the admission dates. All relevant information should be completed and a recent school report should be attached. If the report is not in English, you should provide a translated version along with the original. Applications without school reports will automatically be rejected.

You will receive a notification email from our admissions team about the status of your application.

Based on our priorities and school’s vacancies, selected applicants will be contacted for full application procedures. You may fill it in online or visit our school premises and personally hand it over.

All children must be in possession of a valid Qatari Residency Permit before starting school in Qatar.

Required documents .

  • Complete application form.
  • One passport photo.
  • A copy of the latest school reports. (For Year 1 to Year 12)
  • A copy of a nursery report. (For Preschool or Reception)
  • A copy of the applicant’s and parent’s passport.
  • A copy of the child’s birth certificate and vaccinations record.
  • A copy of the applicant’s and parent’s Qatar Resident Permit.

(It is a requirement of the Supreme Education Council “SEC” that a copy of your child’s QRP/Qatar ID number is kept on your child’s school file)

  • Assessment Fee.
  • The Supreme Education Council ( SEC) essentially requires to get equivalent certificates to accept students who are transferred from outside the State of Qatar. The certificates should obtained from the Council’s premises at the C- Ring road.

 Entry Assessments;

The entrance test is designed to select students of above average ability. All students must meet entry requirements. The amount of QR 214 non-refundable entrance exam fees are to be paid ahead of the assessment date. Testing of students will be held by appointments.

Early Years:

Early years shortlisted students will have to sit an assessment that measures their readiness to enter school. It will evaluate their language knowledge, motor skills, and personal attitude.

Primary :

Primary Potential students (Year 1- Year 6) will have to sit entry assessments in English (writing & reading) and Maths. Children are expected to have a high level of English comprehension as well as very good reading skills. They will also be involved Maths and numbers recognitions and activities paper based. We will also consider children’s behavior.

  Secondary :

  • Year 7-Year 10 students will sit CATs exams.

The CATs exam is a computer- adaptive test that takes two hours.

This test determines strengths and weaknesses and is administered by computer with a headphone set to ensure that instructions and questions are read out loud. The assessment includes reading, general Maths , mental arithmetic , and developed ability. It will help our academic staff to have an idea about the students’ academic level and how he/she will cope with our curriculum. It also gives us a predication about the students’ predicted grades in his/her IGCSE’s.

  • Years 12 & 13 students will go through personal interviews. The shortlisted student selection will be based on highly motivated potentials with excellent attendance reports, and with outstanding performance.
